Good Morning Friends!
It's been about a month since I've been able to toss anything up here, but don't think I haven't been busy! I formally graduated from SFSU in May, a long weekend which included 10 visiting family members, multiple MUNI guffaws and a surplus of sangria.
But it's good to be back, so let's start with some works in progress;

Since some have asked what exactly "line tooling" is, here's a good example;

Line Tooling is a technique I learned from Leapfrog Animators last summer. Essentially, you just trace your image and fill it all in. Using a mouse, no tablet or other such gadgets. It's easier than it sounds, and with it you can get some cool curves and angles.
These were all made with the same method;

In the pursuit of bringing together full illustrations, this is the opening sketch for a piece I'm going to color and clean up.
I call it "Meeting your Future Self at a Dive Bar"

At this moment, I'm about 50 pages shy of finishing John Kennedy Toole's "A Confederacy of Dunces". Hands down one of my new instant favorites- funniest book on my shelf. I sat down with the book on my brain and hashed out what I thought the characters should look like...

Mrs. Reilly and Ignatius.
